Total Lubrifiants, a leading player in the global lubricants market and CLAAS, a major player in the agricultural machinery market, have announced the renewal of their partnership. The two companies have been historically linked since October 2005 when Total partnered with CLAAS to supply a complete range of after-sale lubricants. Since then the collaboration has evolved into a strategic one that now also includes the distribution of ‘First-Fill’ lubricants.
CLAAS, a family business founded in 1913, generated sales of 3.83 billion euros in 2015 alone. Now in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia / Pacific and Africa, the company will continue to expand their lubricant business with its partner Total Lubrifiants within 10 new markets in 2017, particularly in Central Asia and Eastern Europe countries.
Only five years after the first contract was signed, sales of CLAAS lubricants produced by Total increased by 60%. A mutually beneficial trend that both groups are determined to uphold and further develop.
Through Total Lubrifiant R&D, both partners strive to developed high-end products adapted to future models of agricultural machinery. AGRISHIFT XE is proof of this, being the only oil approved for Xerion transmissions, the most high-end model on the market.
