Sensible, managed growth over the past 19 years combined with a focus on customer satisfaction has ensured that Hampshire-based Prospect Fencing can face the future with solid foundations.
In fact 2017 could be another great year in Prospect!
Founded in 1998 by Andrew and Sarah Thorne, Prospect has built up a solid reputation around the Winchester and Alresford areas for its professional installations and high quality fencing products.
Sarah explained: “We started off manufacturing fencing panels but around seven years ago we introduced an installation service. It made sense complementing our production of over 20,000 panels with contracting and it’s been a very positive move.
“Business is ticking over nicely. We have just experienced our second best year in business and are hoping that 2017 can create its own legacy of growth. Our customer base is split roughly between domestic and trade with a steady flow of business regularly using our trade counter.
“We operate very locally. It works best for us and continually reinforces the links we have with our area.
“We currently have five staff employed with two engaged in manufacturing the fencing panels. I oversee the administration and help everything to run smoothly.
“We’ve carefully managed the growth of the business and now own the land at our Prospect Road premises in Alresford. We started off renting but decided to buy it bit by bit so that we can have real control over our own destiny,” added Sarah.
A vast majority of the timber used by Prospect Fencing is sourced from homegrown forestry, mainly across Scotland and Wales with Andrew helping to develop a customer focused culture based on the best possible products and the best possible service.
“We put a strong emphasis on developing strong customer relationships. One of the greatest satisfactions of any business is to see customers returning again and again and we always endeavor to build bonds that last.
“That comes from trust and reliability and we feel we are in a great position to continue growing. We’ve nurtured our customer base, gradually developed the range of manufacturing tools at our disposal and have the stability to feel very positive about 2017 and beyond.
Prospect Fencing’s approach is ably reflected in a clear and informative website that profiles their entire manufactured product range including gates, pergolas, decking and sheds.
Andrew and Sarah have clearly hit the right note with Prospect’s undoubtedly good for the future.
