Bond Timber’s Specialist day on January 18th was a great success for Bond Timber, customers and suppliers alike.

Bond Timber recently held their first Specialist Day and were joined by key suppliers Lonza Wood Protection, suppliers of Tanalith, Tanatone and Vacsol wood preservatives who discussed treatments for fencing and landscaping timbers. Along with, Taylor Maxwell and Irwin Tools, who manufacture hand tools and power tools for professional tradespeople.

Bond Timber were showcasing their award-winning GOLD treatment as these GOLD treated pine stakes, are the only fencing stakes available in the UK, to be approved by the WPA Benchmark for 30 years desired service life. * From speaking with their customers at previous Fencing and Farmer Forums, it was found that there was uncertainty amongst their fencing customers about the performance of TANALISED timber. This lead to Bond Timber taking on board the comments and pursing the WPA Benchmark accreditation for 30-year service life fencing timbers, with the aim of giving the industry confidence in Bond Timber’s products and TANALISED treatment.

The customers who visited on the day benefited from finding out more about Bond Timber’s great products and services and could enjoy meeting the Bond Timber team that make it happen. Throughout the day hot food and refreshments were provided by the Travelling Diner.

Bond Timber have recently become certified with Grown in Britain. This is the next step after previously becoming licenced with the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).  This is fantastic news for Bond Timber who work hard with an aim to help for a sustainable future.

Grown in Britain is designed to help promote the role British timber plays today and encourage a greater understanding of the role of sustainable woodland management” Grown in Britain.”

Sales Manager at Bond Timber, Emma Haley stated: “We are proud to be working with Grown in Britain as we understand the importance of sustainable forests and at Bond Timber we feel it is important to give the highest quality to our customers”.
