This is a constant theme which underpins the success of Woodbank Timber.
The Ipswich based firm continues to deliver high rates of growth for its customers. This year Woodbank Timber has extended the Surepine™ Kiln Dried Pine 15 year Warranted brand to incorporate a comprehensive range of sawn material including Four Way Weathered Gate Posts, Four Way Pointed Posts and of course standard square sawn posts. In addition, they have introduced a fantastic high-quality range of Handmade Universal Field Gates which are proving extremely popular.
Head of Sales for the company Adrian Howden explains, “The increasing demand for UC4 material in particular over the last three years has been phenomenal, the market is maturing and consumers are much more educated as to variations of material and their subsequent points of difference. Confidence is returning as best practice is being observed by more and more producers and suppliers of treated timber”. Woodbank Timber is clearly playing its part in this market shift, by providing educational material, training sessions and marketing support. Surepine™ focuses on the natural benefits of Kiln Dried Pine as the base fibre, as Adrian describes, “Incising technology used for improving the treatment of spruce has no doubt developed. However, when considering a large section of timber, for example, a six, seven or eight-inch square gate post or straining post, unlike incised spruce, there is no talk of minimum required ‘treatment envelopes’, imported kiln dried pine achieves full sapwood penetration. Sapwood of all species is classified as perishable and as such needs to be fully protected from rot and decay. Kiln Dried Pine offers this protection and peace of mind across all sections.”.
This natural advantage has seen a huge surge in demand for this material from the marketplace, and Woodbank Timber, with its strong commitment to stock and ongoing education, has unquestionably positioned itself as a market leader in this field.
Woodbank Timber’s uncompromising approach to quality and its commitment to innovation is manifested across the wide range of products it provides, Richard Greenaway, Commercial Director explains, “Throughout the Woodbank Timber team we have a solid commitment to providing the very best products and service available in the market. The combined experience of the staff here at Woodbank and the technical knowledge we have gathered presents our trading partners with a solid base from which they can grow their fencing sales. We would encourage any merchant or stockist looking to develop their fencing business to consider what we at Woodbank Timber have to offer”.
The company is gearing up for 2018, with new product brochures being designed and the new website taking shape in the background. The energy, ambition and vitality for the fencing trade which all of the staff at Woodbank Timber have in abundance has propelled the company into the top flight of timber suppliers for the fencing trade. Richard concludes, “We’re always looking for likeminded motivated individuals to join the team. We aim to offer premium products and service, but it is imperative our people are engaged and inspired in order for us to continue to improve and grow”. This contagious optimism emanating from the now well-established Suffolk firm continues to capture the imagination of the trade, the renovation of the Head Office is now fully complete as their investment in the long-term future continues to take shape.
