Castleford-based Atkinsons Fencing, one of the best known fencing firms in Yorkshire, is on track for another bumper year after investing in a Twin Automating fence panel machine.

Jason Atkinson, third generation MD of the firm that was founded in the 50s by Jason’s grandfather George, commented: “Purchasing the Twin Automating machine late last year was a big investment for Atkinsons Fencing but it’s proved to be worth every penny.

“We are producing far more feather edge and double lap fencing panels than ever before with the automated processes replacing the previous all manual construction techniques,” added Jason.

It’s just as well that output of manufactured fencing panels is increasing given that 2018 is proving to be a fantastic year for the firm that runs around 15 installation teams and employs over 80 at a number of sites across West Yorkshire.

Jason explained: “It’s been a great year so far. The World Cup and the heatwave over the summer months has boosted business as more of us spend an ever increasing amount of time in the garden.

“By purchasing the Twin Automating machine we ensure we are well placed to face whatever challenges come along in the coming years. It’s a way of future proofing the businesses as well as being a very productive piece of kit!” concluded Jason.
