NEW SHOWROOM AND DEMONSTRATION AREA FOR EASY PETROL POST DRIVER AND WESTERMANN

A brand new showroom and demonstration area, featuring the powerful Easy Petrol Post Driver and innovative Westermann Weed & Moss Brushes, has been officially opened to the public by SPA Power Machinery.

The unit, in Sheffield just off junction 31 and 33 of the M1, has been transformed from multiple small, dark offices into an open plan and purpose-built showroom. Being situated right next door to their operational head office, the team at SPA are able to welcome you in with a hot drink, take you on a tour and run live product demonstrations.

As a potential customer you can see the Australian manufactured post driver in-action, as well as the German pedestrian brushes and ride-on tractor units from Westermann. All powered by Honda and supported by an impressive range of Makita tools.

Welcomed to the official launch was Ansgar Jacobs, Sales Manager from Westermann, who also joined them to celebrate the great start to the launch of Westermann in the UK. Established in 1989, the purpose built, Honda powered moss brushes have been the market leader in Germany for some time.

Speaking on the opening, Laurie Anthony, Director at SPA Power Machinery said “We have worked tirelessly to open our new showroom and product  demonstration area. With customers being at the heart of what we do, we fully appreciate that when purchasing any new machine you wish to see this working in-action first, which is why we have designed this product demonstration area alongside our new showroom. It was also a delight to welcome Ansgar from Westermann to celebrate this growing partnership.”

As we hit the summer months and with dry, hot days becoming more and more regular it wouldn’t be uncommon to wonder if the Easy Petrol Post Driver will still be able to drive posts into the hard ground. However, as part of the product demonstration area SPA will teach you techniques to overcome this, such as using their Pilot Core Tool. By creating a 2” diameter pilot hole with the heat-treated cutting head this allows the machine to drive up  to a 4” round stake into hard ground with no problem.

Simon Anthony, who first discovered the Australian Post Driver online back in 2010 explains: “Incredibly, this machine works so well thanks to the vibration in the soil it creates. As soon as the stake is being driven, the momentum and vibration of the soil allows it to slide into the ground with a firm hold. So the minute you begin driving with the 2” pilot hole, the process becomes seamless, even in hard ground.”
