DOWN TO A TEE!

The annual Fencing News Golf Day, sponsored by W&P Consultancy and Fencing News, was held at the Belfry on Thursday 9th May.

Teams were entered from W & P Consultancy, Fencing News, M&M Timber, Lonza x 2 and Koppers. After bacon butties and coffee
the players took part in a 18 hole Stableford competition on the Derby course and with most of the teams managing to avoid the worst of the rain some good scores were achieved. There were also prizes for nearest the pin on the 3rd hole and longest drive on the 18th.

Afterwards the players attended the prize giving, conducted by Ben Walton, Phil Emsley and Andrew Hodge followed by a three course meal in the Windsor suite.

The prize winners were

• Longest Drive
Max Horton (M&M Timber)
• Nearest the Pin
Alistair Brown (Norclad)
• 3rd place 39 points
Mick Boe (Koppers)
• 2nd place 40 points
Max Horton (M&M Timber)
• 1st Place 41 points
Joe Freeman (Forest Products)

We would like to thank Phil Emsley from W&P Consultancy for his help on the day and for again providing prizes. Phil has agreed to support us again next year at the Belfry and we may hold the event on one of the other courses available.
