Sawmill technology firm Stenner has gone the extra mile with its specialist spare parts service during the Covid-19 lockdowns according to a company spokesperson.
They commented: “A high quality spare parts service has always been at the top of the priority list forStenner. With the demands placed upon our customers during 2020 , exceptional efforts have been made to maintain this service in both its UK and Export markets. Stenner have only been closed on Public holidays during 2020
“Whether it is a requirement for day-to-day consumable parts for thelatest high production installations or a key component of a machine purchased generations ago, Stenner are ready to respond.
“In fact the service goes beyond that and provides products and machine upgrades to meet the changing nature of timber processing such as our own brand of lubricants for the cleaning of pulleys and blades, mist spray systems supplied and installed as an upgrade to existing machinery and saw pulley exchange sets for the common 36”and 42” Stenner machines.
“On certain machines Stenner can now offer remote, power driven sawblade tracking with optional camera viewing, where from H & S considerations, this work needs to be done remotely.
“Automatic braking systems and guard interlocking is a further part of the Stenner service, using a fully proven braking system with an electrical design specifically designed for the operating requirements of Bandsaw machines.
“For interval servicing requirements, Stenner offer service packs containing all the genuine Stenner parts required for a full machine service plus a few extra guides, cleaner pads and scrapers for the next months of operation. Service packs are sold at a significant discount to the cost of individual parts, a point already much appreciated by many customers.”
