GOLF DAY GOES WITH A SWING

The Fencing & Landscaping News Golf Day took place recently at The Belfry’s PGA National course in Sutton Coldfield.

Fencing News Director Ben Walton emerged victorious with an impressive 40 Stableford points closely followed by Max Horton from M&M Timber on 39 points and Mark Wilson of Arxada with 36 points.

Richard Milner of A&P Fencing triumphed in the nearest pin challenge whilst Dave Harper of Allen Concrete took the prize for longest drive.

Ben commented: “It was great to win but fantastic to meet and catch up with so many friends and colleagues from the fencing, timber and landscaping sectors.

“It was the first time we’d played on the PGA National course and it proved more than enough of a challenge for all those taking part.

“We’d like to put on record our thanks to sponsor Phil from W & P Consultancy Ltd for providing all the prizes and assistance on the day. He’s already committed to supporting next year’s event which is fantastic news.

“Thanks also go to all of the teams who entered with the W&P Consultancy, M&M Timber, Koppers, Arxada, Allen Concrete and A&P Fencing making up the runners and riders together with the Fencing News team.

“There was the traditional bacon butty and coffee prior to the start followed by a hot and cold buffet after the completion of 18 holes. The prize ceremony took place before the buffet with Phil from W & P Consultancy Ltd doing the honours.

“Watch this space for details of the 2023 event!!” concluded Ben.
