Hampton Steel has remained open throughout the Covid-19 pandemic dealing with a high volume of orders from its loyal customers.

Whilst operating at all times in accordance with government guidelines, as UK manufacturers it has been impossible for all staff to work from home. Robust yet flexible plans were quickly put in place to protect employees, customers, suppliers and the communities in which Hampton operate. When staff’s roles have required that they be on site, strict social distancing rules reinforced by enhanced cleaning and hygiene processes have become second nature.

Hampton Steel’s IT and communications infrastructure has ensured that irrespective of where sales and other staff have been based, they have had access to the same systems which has allowed them to maintain their normal excellent levels of efficiency, quality and customer service.

‘Everyone at Hampton Steel has worked incredibly hard to ensure the doors have remained open throughout. We have continued to monitor government and health official’s guidelines, taking the appropriate steps to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and minimising disruption to our business.

Adaptation has been and will be key. At Hampton we have an incredibly competent team of professionals and together we are constantly reviewing our business plans and models to navigate towards a new normal.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the team at Hampton for their support and commitment; this has been and will continue to be a massive combined effort where everyone has pulled together and adapted quickly and seamlessly to new ways of working and interacting.

I’d also like to express our appreciation to all our customers, suppliers and contractors for the way in which they have worked with us during this testing period’ Said Mark Johnson, Managing Director of Hampton Steel Ltd.
