LANCASHIRE SAWS INVEST IN ISELI FOR THE FUTURE

Lancashire Saws Ltd, a leading bandsaw blade manufacturer and saw servicing provider within the UK and Ireland, have made a significant investment in Iseli saw sharpening machinery.

Based in the industrial town of Blackburn, Lancashire Saws have been operating since 1943 and have seen significant growth over the years. They collect and deliver around 2,000 bandsaw and circular saws a week, with clients ranging from large sawmills to small joinery shops.

Following the acquisition of the company by James Jones and Sons Ltd in October 2023, Lancashire Saws have chosen to significantly invest in their operations with recent purchases of a BNA100 Automatic Stellite Welding Machine and BNF100 Automatic 4-axis-CNC Side Grinder, which arrived at the end of 2024.

Further investment has been made in a BNP200 Automatic 4-axis-CNC Profile Grinder and a BNR100 Automatic Blade Levelling, Tensioning, and Straightening Machine, all of which will arrive later this year.

Managing Director Paul Adamson said:

“Our investment is the start of our plan to modernise our saw shop, allowing us to be at the forefront of technical developments in bandsaw manufacture and servicing.”

Iseli are the market leader in bandsaw servicing technology and are represented by Stenner Ltd in the UK and Ireland. Celebrating their 80th year of manufacturing from the small town of Schötz in Switzerland, Iseli, a family-run business, produces machines to service both band and circular saws.

UK and Ireland Sales Manager for Stenner, Jeremy Bingham, highlighted the importance of saw servicing equipment:

*“This investment from Lancashire Saws shows their vision for the future with the production and servicing of high-quality bandsaw blades. Having worked closely with the team from Lancashire Saws, it was soon very clear what they needed and what they wished to achieve.

“Paul has been in the trade for many years and understands the need to produce a high-quality blade, which will lead to less downtime in the mill and greater production.”*
