PROFENCER LASTS THE DISTANCE FOR RETIRING JEFF
He might be about to hang up his fencing tools but Jeff Ling will miss his Profencer.
The health of his partner has meant retirement for Jeff, 71, who has been running his own fencing contractor business since 1985.
The steady, reliable Profencer machine proved to be a willing and able co-worker for Jeff for over 12 years out in the field.
Jeff explained “When I started out fencing work I was fitter but in recent years it’s become the main focus for my business and the Profencer played a big part in that change.
“Unrolling sheep wire by hand can be a horrible process but the Profencer simplifies it and it reduces all the aches and pains of the job
“It’s a brilliant machine and Allan has put a lot of thought into it. Having a lot of fencing experience has meant he knows what makes the life of a contractor a bit easier.
“The ease of straining the wire with the Profencer’s hydraulic plant as opposed to the tedious job of manually clamping and straining by hand and the fact that with Profencer you can strain wire into a right angled corner and tie off the wire, as you would if doing by hand, make the Profencer invaluable.
“There’s always more than one way to do a job but the Profencer should be a definite part of any fencer’s armoury. Large fencing contractors cannot afford to be without one.
“Everything is so simple with Profencer and that became clear when Allan bought me down a machine to test all those years ago. We’ve been friends ever since and he’s even stayed over at my house!” added Jeff.
One of the benefits that Jeff discovered was the reduction in waste.
“You’ve generally got a few metres of wire left over whilst on the job and that can be easily run out and attached to the next roll so there’s nothing binned.
“I’ve been long enough in this fencing game to know what does and what doesn’t work and the Profencer works. It really does the job.
“I will miss working with a such a great piece of kit!” concluded Jeff.
