MAKING TREX WITH ARBOR
Arbor Forest Products – UK distributor for the Trex decking brand, has celebrated the installation of its 75th merchant ‘show deck’.
Created and installed by Arbor Forest Products’ expert team, the show decks are designed to provide merchants’ customers – homeowners and decking installers alike – with inspiration and information to help them plan their own Trex deck project.
Featuring Trex decking boards in a variety of styles and colours, as well as ancillary products such as lighting and railings, the show decks utilise complementary colour combinations to showcase the design possibilities that Trex decking affords installers.
Arbor Forest Products has a long history of supporting its merchant customers and helping them to spread the word about Trex – from in-store customer demonstrations to dedicated training days for merchant staff so they are fully clued up about the product. This roll-out of high-quality show decks across the UK is just the latest measure Arbor Forest Products has implemented to encourage installers to work closely with their local merchants to spread the word about Trex among their customer base.
Commenting on the newly installed show deck at the company’s Oxford branch, Adrian White, Managing Director at AWBS said: “Having a high-quality show deck on permanent display lets our staff really bring the decking options to life.
“We find that tradespeople and home improvers respond much better to seeing the decking products in situ, and it helps us to create conversation and start to talk to customers about products they may not have been aware of, like different colour options and railings. It’s a fantastic sales tool.”
Arbor Forest Products’ Arbordeck Business Manager Jonathan Cooper added: “Our Trex products are distributed exclusively through our merchant partners, so we are always searching for new and creative ways to add value for them. The show decks give merchants a real-life space to introduce potential customers to the Trex collection and all it has to offer, and the feedback we have had so far has been fantastic. We’re already planning to expand the show deck roll-out in 2023 and hope to be announcing our 100th show deck in the very near future!”
