AFI Timber in Ground Contact Conference
With the continued apprehension over the longevity of timber in ground contact and the confusion over other offerings that are available and how they can help with the various sectors of the fencing industry, the AFI have decided to host a conference on timber in ground contact and the alternatives.
This will give all in the industry a chance to have an open discussion realising the issues affecting all sides of the changes to wood treatment since the banning of CCA. The conference will give individuals and manufacturers the opportunity to discuss solutions and progress the situation. There will be the opportunity to view existing and alternative products on the market for the benefit of the industry
Bringing the industry together for this one day conference will also give the chance for new treatments to be discussed, clear up uncertainty on certain chemicals and how the existing warranties help the end users, installers and the supply chain.
During the event we will also touch on the sustainability and environmental credentials of products within ground contact and construction of fences as we move to a desire for Net Zero within the construction industry by 2050.
All attendees will get a bacon roll on arrival, buffet lunch with tea and coffee throughout the day along with a chance to ask questions of the speakers and discuss issues with companies represented at stands promoting their products and services.
The AFI Wood Conference is open to all sectors of the industry with questions pre-registered. Tickets are available for £75+VAT, with AFI members offered reduced entry of £10+VAT.
