ANNUAL WPA EVENT GOES FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

The 2022 Wood Protection Awards & Conference, yet again sent to Coventry, proved a perfect talking shop with the great and the good from the UK’s timber and treatment sectors in attendance.

The two-day event, held at the Windmill Hotel near Coventry, featured a golf tournament, awards dinner and half day conference and even included a touch of magic with Richard Pinner once again providing the entertainment.

WPA CEO Gordon Ewbank commented: “A wonderful time was had by all at this year’s WPA Awards & Conference. It was fantastic to meet colleagues and friends onceagain at this ever popular two-day event which goes from strength to strength.

“A big thank you to all of the sponsors who continue to support the WPA; Arxada, BSW Group and Impra were this year’s main event sponsors,” added Gordon.

The golf tournament, sponsored by Bond Timber, saw David Stewart of WJ Group pick up the individual prize with Arxada scooping the team award.

Each of the category winners picked up a distinctive trophy fashioned from Accoya Color, a new innovative product which is coloured grey from surface to core.
