DURABILITY BY DESIGN – CLOSING THE GAP BETWEEN TIMBER’S POTENTIAL AND ITS PERFORMANCE
CELEBRATING CRAFTSMANSHIP AND INNOVATION IN STOCK FENCING
Clonmel, Ireland – 6th July 2025. The Clonmel Show once again proved to be a highlight of the agricultural calendar, bringing together tradition and innovation in the world of stock fencing.
This year’s event was a resounding success, showcasing the very best of Irish fencing talent and celebrating the spirit of community and craftsmanship.
A major feature of the show was the Irish Stock Fencing Championship, six teams – twelve skilled contractors – competed with one shared goal: to connect, compete, and celebrate the craft of fencing.
Jack Bennett said: “Events like this bring a real sense of community to what can often be a solitary profession.”
The competition saw exceptional displays of skill and teamwork, with Tornado Wire providing the high-quality materials that helped bring each team’s vision to life. Special recognition goes to first-time competitors Alan and Patrick from Fenassy Fencing, who tackled some of the toughest ground of the day.
This year also marked the exciting debut of the Irish Novice Stock Fencing Competition, launched in partnership with Macra na Feirme. Aimed at spotlighting the next generation of Irish farmers, the event challenged teams to install 20 metres of fencing using the Pro-Strain® System and Pro-Strain i-Post®.
“The next generation of farmers using the next generation of products.”
Huge congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s Irish Stock Fencing Championship. We are certain it was a valuable and inspiring experience for everyone involved.
The enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to embrace new technology made this a standout event. We are proud to support the future of farming and look forward to seeing how these rising stars continue to grow.
