To use the fault finder, begin near the energizer’s lead-out wires with either your Pel Remote with Fault Finder or Pel Fault Finder. Follow the arrow away from the energizer, moving down the fence line.

Take readings at regular intervals, especially at junction points. The previous current reading is displayed briefly in the top right corner of the screen for easy comparison. If the current reading suddenly drops, it indicates you’ve passed a fault—simply retrace your steps to pinpoint it. After a few seconds, the previous current reading will be replaced by the present voltage reading (kV), helping you track the status effectively.
