Eva Direct
Eva Timber is pleased to offer products from our versatile stockholding on Riga quay. Stocked close to kilning and treatment facilities, Eva Timber can offer unseasoned products or have them treated to your specification which includes drying before treatment to UC4.

David Whitehill, Commercial Director of Eva Timber commented; “Using our fast-turning stock on Riga quay and the 15 sailings per month between Riga and the UK, Eva Timber can offer a picked specification for delivery in just a few weeks, allowing our customers to take ‘little and often’ at forward prices. So, if a customer wants 3 different diameters of pole in 3 different lengths and some posts and rails … oh, and a pack of sleepers and maybe some batten … no problem. We’ll put it on one order on one sailing for you to collect from the quay or we can arrange delivery to your premises for you.”

You specify
If price is the key factor for bulk orders then we are happy to offer shipments directly from our partner mills. Clearly, this will take longer than Eva Direct orders from stock but we like to offer the customer the choice.

Treatment
Increasing focus is being placed upon specifying the correct class that timber products should be treated to … and rightly so. Once the correct use class has been specified, it is important that you can trust your provider to use the correct timber species and drying process to achieve the treatment penetration you need.

Eva Timber always use dried redwood to ensure the deep penetration needed for UC4. The image above shows how limited penetration is when the wrong specie is used, in this case, whitewood. The image above shows how the cell structure and permeability of Spruce does not accept deep penetration of treatment as Pine does. The gouge at the top of the post shows how easily the treated envelope of the post can be breached.

Whichever treatment you require, from UC2 to UC4 or creosote C, to the new alternatives to creosote, whether green, brown, blue or yellow, our treatment partners in Riga can meet your requirement.

Branding
Eva Timber is both pleased and confident enough to offer our UC4 products with an end branding if required, as shown above. This brand shows who the product is from, the year it was treated and the treatment class. We’re proud of the products we offer. Eva Timber can also offer a corporate branding option. Alongside our traditional Eva Direct products, we now have some new additions to the range. To better serve the playground and equestrian market Eva Timber can now offer a full range of laminated timber components, graded and manufactured to suit the higher demands of these market sectors. Using live knotted Scandinavian Pine, laminated for stability, and glued with suitable adhesive for use in playground or play equipment.

Of course, these high specification components are not limited to playgrounds, but can also be used for Fencing, Gates, Garden Landscaping, Pergola and Outdoor Furniture.

We can offer a full range of square and rounded posts and rails. Even supplying precise cut length components, end chamfering and preservative treatment if required.
