EXPERT DECKING INSTALLER ENDORSES F.H.BRUNDLE
Decking design and installation specialist Designer Exteriors has completed its first installation using Outdure Qwickbuild, an innovative aluminium deck framing system now exclusively distributed in the UK by F.H.Brundle – and the results have proved spectacular.
Matt Burgon, owner of the Sheffield-based business and known for his premium composite decking projects, was eager to put the Outdure Qwickbuild system to the test on a high-end residential project that required both decking and paving solutions.
“I first saw Outdure, which has been used in the US for many years, last November, and was excited about the possibility of using it,” explained Matt. “Once we heard F.H. Brundle was bringing it to the UK, it was perfect.”
Matt used the QwickBuild system, which combines lightweight aluminium framing with modular components to enable seamless transitions between decking, paving, and artificial grass – all on a single, low-profile frame.
“The speed and ease of installation was really impressive,” Matt continued. “It’s a well thought-out, engineered system that simplifies installation and offers a lot of flexibility.
“Every piece is straight and stable, and once it’s down, it’s not going anywhere. Unlike timber, it won’t warp, rot or degrade – you’re building something that’s going to last for decades. From a quality perspective, it’s far superior to anything else I’ve used before.”
The project itself involved the removal of an old timber deck and concrete paving, replaced with a sleek new outdoor space using porcelain paving on one section and composite decking on another – all supported by the Outdure frame. Even an aluminium pergola was seamlessly integrated into the system.
