TORNADO WIRE PREPARES FOR MAJOR 2026 FENCING COMPETITION AT THE NSA SHEEP EVENT
Good Evans! Calders and Grandidge Supporting the Driffield Fencing Competition
“As National and European Suppliers of Treated Fencing and Gates, Calders and Grandidge were once again proud sponsors and suppliers of the treated timber materials used in the Fencing and Landscaping News premier UK Fencing competition at the Driffield Show on the 19th July 2017.
The 9 competing teams came from as far away as Devon and Dorset in the South to Cumbria in the North making it a truly national competition. Once the teams had all received their thorough pre-competition briefing from the judges for the task ahead the competition commenced in what were good weather conditions for fence erecting and the two men teams began to erect the fence and field gate as required within the 4 hour allocated timescale.
The teams all showcased their skills attracting a large crowd throughout the day as the public and trades people arrived to watch the traditional skills and craftsmanship of the fencing competitors on show and seeing them completing the work required as fast as possible but with attention to detail.
