HAMPTON STEEL METAL POSTS PUT TO THE TEST

An avid supporter of Hampton’sfencing and metal post systems is professional fencing contractor, Graham Harber; a convert from traditional timber to Hampton’smetal posts, Graham’s recent installations of Hampton Net fixed knot fencing with Versalok® andStrainerlok® includes a 1:2 incline on ground riddled with rabbit holes and perimeter fencing around a tree-lined smallholding in Norfolk.

‘The steep hill was a challenge, I had no option but to drive the posts in by hand but fortunately, the smaller profile of Versalok®, compared to wooden posts, was a huge help. They went in relatively easily and with Hampton Net’s self-supporting properties, the straining of the fence was easier than I’d thought. Being able to affix the clips anywhere on the Versalok® post with no alignment to prefixed points necessary also allowed me to secure the line wires wherever required, providing great versatility. Furthermore, the posts don’t lift out as the fence is clipped in place because earth is pushed up inside the post as it is installed thereby prevents any lift.’ Said Graham.

The second location, a smallholding in Norfolk, provided its own challenges with a tree-lined boundary and extensive root systems to negotiate.

‘The precision and finish of the perimeter fencing is way beyond our expectations. Graham recommended Hampton’s fixed knot fencing combined with their metal posts. Not only is it an impressive spectacle but our three dogs are secured and the roaming deer excluded.
