It’s fair to say that James Corbett of Oxfordshire-based J C Countryside Services is very happy with his pioneering tracked Protech Evo 220b.
“Faultless” is how James describes a machine that is regularly put to work across the south and east Midlands as well as the Cotswolds.
James started the business in 2007 and works with his brother Tom focusing predominantly on agricultural and equestrian fencing.
James explained “I have always known about Protech since I started fencing. At Lamma 2014 I spoke to Protech about a machine and they ended up putting me in touch with a second hand RG30 which I bought and ran alongside a tractor mount.
“In 2021 I looked at a more complete tracked post driving and wire setup. Protech said they had something in the early stages of design and that ended up being the 220b.
“I liked the idea of the loader and spoke to them about what I needed including a netting machine. Along the way Steve kept in touch with how manufacturing was going and we talked about ideas etc. I also spoke to Marc from Bushpig about a netter and he and Steve worked together to make a set up that works well together.
“We’ve had the 220b since August and it has been a game changer.
“I can get posts driven in effectively and get wire up quick and easily with the Bushpig netter using large capacity rolls with no lifting or manual tensioning. It’s revolutionised how we fence and taken away all the wasted time and effort.
“Both Protech and Bushpig have been in touch to make sure everything is running smoothly. For anyone considering a non-towable, I would say take a serious look at the 220b.
“It was a nerve wracking decision when I put in the order but it’s proved to be a great decision. Protech have been faultless throughout!” concluded James.
