 HOME FROM HOME WITH WRAG

New housing estates are proving to be the perfect home from home for a tracked WRAG post knocker owned by Crewe-based Hopley Fencing.

The WRAG machine is proving particularly adept at driving in fencing and perimeter security infrastructure at new house building schemes across North Wales, the Midlands and the North West.

Founded by Julian Hopley back in 1986, the business has grown steadily to the point where it employs 8 staff including Julian himself and focuses mainly on agricultural, equestrian and house builder fencing contracts.

“We’ve got three teams working out in the field around Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Wales, within an hour’s drive of junction 16 of the M6! We will shortly be adding a fourth team as demand grows. One of the reasons for the grow this the efficient and consistent performance of our WRAG post

knocker that we invested in just over twelve months ago,” Julian explained.

“I’d known about WRAG for awhile, and was looking for a tracked machine as we occasionally get issues with landowners complaining about tractor tyre tracks in soft ground, so it’s good to have that option. I headed over to their HQ inStaffordshire and found them very helpful. We opted for the WRAG Commander XL post knocker with telescopic side shift, a feature we find particularly useful. We requested a number of adaptions and refinements, and bespoke improvements, and WRAG were only too happy to carry these out.”

“It makes knocking in posts a one man operation and really comes into its own at the new housing projects we work on, although it’s currently somewhere in North Wales on a post and rail contract!”

“We are all very impressed withthis machine. It does the job well and I have the peace of mind of knowing that there’s excellent post sales customer service to back it up,” concluded Julian.

High praise indeed for a machine that, it seems, offers home comforts for every fencing contractor!
