LAYING DOWN A MARKER WITH HARTLINGTON FENCING

Skipton-based Hartlington Fencing Supplies is laying down a marker when it comes to innovation and resourcefulness. Supplying the whole of the UK, the business was founded in 1992 by the Daggett family and stocks a wide range of fencing products, fixings, and tools for domestic, agricultural, and industrial customers.
Sales Manager Sam Stockdale explained: *“We cover every base when it comes to fencing and are always on the lookout for products that make the life of a contractor a bit easier. We’re also an inventive bunch!
“Our galvanised fence marker, for instance, is something that we manufacture ourselves and deliver right across the UK with a growing customer base, particularly in Scotland, where it’s used across vast swathes of moorland.
“The fence marker is a strip of galvanised steel metal that clips onto the fence to act as a deterrent to low-flying grouse, deer, and other animals that would struggle to identify a fence on open moorland.
“Using a galvanised steel strip not only causes a reflection of light for the birds but also means it will last as long as the galvanised wire in brutal and exposed moorland.
“Designed, patented, and manufactured to the highest standards, the markers can not only be fitted to new fences but can easily be retro-fitted to existing fences that may be causing a problem.
“Installation is easy and requires no tools. Its patented and unique pattern fold simply clips onto two strands of wire anywhere on the fence and won’t be blown off in any wind.
“Our fence markers offer a significant monetary saving over using bamboo or chestnut paling as a method of making fencing more visible due to the low labour required with easy installation.
“All the fence markers are made to order and can be adjusted to suit any type of netting and are both reusable and fully recyclable,” added Sam.*
Necessity is the mother of invention, so goes the saying, with Sam and the team at Hartlington Fencing Suppliesdemonstrating that point perfectly.
