Even in these uncertain times, Northamptonshire based Hampton Steel Ltd UK, a manufacturer of galvanised woven wire fencing, metal fence post systems and ancillary products continues to look to the future and expand its impressive manufacturing facility in Wellingborough.

Hampton has invested over £1million in machinery for the manufacture of its popular, and strong, HamptonNet® fixed knot fencing range of products which feature a smooth animal-friendly knot and user specifiable mesh sizes and which can be produced, often two at a time, in up to 500 metre rolls.

“HamptonNet® has been a real success story for Hampton Steel. We purchased our first fixed knot machine just over 10 years ago and, at that time, it was the first of its kind in Europe. Having the ability to produce fixed knot fencing permitted us to diversify both our product range and the markets and countries we supply to. Continued growth in demand has made this additional investment a necessity.” said Mark Johnson, Managing Director of Hampton Steel Ltd.

‘HamptonNet® is a fantastic brand and a wonderful product which we offer in both galvanised and longer life green passivate coated options. All products are manufactured by us in the UK by our experienced engineers and sold and supported by our excellent customer service team.”

Other own manufactured Hampton Steel wire fencing products and brands are Sentinel® galvanised hinge joint fencing, barbed wire, fencing staples and line wires and the longer life green passivate coated alternatives Rylock® and Rylock One®.

Complimentary to the above are Hampton Steel’s own designed and patented long-life metal fence post products Strainerlok® and Versalok®. Both are guaranteed for 30 years (terms and conditions apply). Strainerlok® strainer posts are lightweight yet incredibly strong and offer an excellent long-life alternative to traditional timber strainer assemblies. Both angle and box options are available.

The Versalok®. intermediate fence post, is produced from either 1.5mm or 2.5mm thick high yield strength steel coated in zinc, aluminium and magnesium for an extra-long life. Together with its stainless clips which can be fixed at any point along the entire length of the post, Versalok® can receive all mesh sizes and fence heights up to 2.6 metres.

The combination of Strainerlok® and Versalok® means that customers can be assured of a fully integrated metal post system that delivers on all counts; quality, strength, versatility and durability.

Further enhancing Hampton’s fencing product offering are their own manufactured Hampton® chainlink fencing, supplied in both galvanised and plastic-coated formats, and hexagonal wire netting. Hampton Steel is also a distributor of the Gripple® range of wire joining and tensioning products.

“We will keep pushing the boundaries in terms of innovation and customer satisfaction whilst investing in our facilities and further developing our product range. Quality, reliability and impeccable service levels remain of the utmost importance to us.” said Mark Johnson.
