RHAB PRAISE FOR PROFENCER

Founded 21 years ago, RHAB Fencing Contractors is based just outside Peterborough.

The business specialises in agricultural and estate fencing, primarily within a 60-mile radius, and has clients that range from working farms to large rural estates. Richard Berry, known as ‘Jolly’, runs RHAB alongside a close-knit team of three full-time staff and two experienced freelancers who are brought in as and when needed.

Richard’s team also includes a full-time mechanic and fitter who specialises in fencing machinery, ensuring all of their equipment, including hire units, is maintained to the highest standards.

Richard commented: “All of our customers are looking for durable, well-installed fencing delivered efficiently and that’s where the Profencer comes in! I first came across Profencer back in 2007 after meeting Allen Froggatt at a local show. As wire manufacturers moved to larger rolls, it became clear that manual handling just wasn’t practical anymore.

“Profencer provided the solution. With interchangeable heads, we can tension anything from 800mm stock net to 2.1m deer net. We usually run them on tractors but occasionally mount one on a Protech Evo 3 depending on the job.

“The result? Faster jobs, fewer people, and a better finish. It’s a solid, well-thought-out bit of kit and one we rely on heavily, both in our own work and for hire.”

In 2021, RHAB Hire was launched offering nationwide machinery hire, including post knockers, dumpers, and Profencer units. Their hire fleet includes compact Protech models through to the latest Protech 220B.

“Hiring out Profencer equipment has become an increasingly popular service, especially among contractors looking to increase productivity without major capital outlay.

“The two sides of the business complement each other well. We use the same equipment we hire out, so we know exactly how it performs on the job.
