ROLL BACK BENEFITS WITH PROFENCER

It’s a case of rewind and reuse for Peter Cheesewright of PCC Farm Fencing when it comes to his trusted Profencer machine.

Based at Crawley Down, Peter has been carrying out agricultural, equestrian and deer fencing across Sussex, Surrey and Kent for the past 15 years, latterly in partnership with son Callum, but it’s only over the last 12 months that he’s been using a Profencer.

“It was Callum who mentioned it to me about 18 months back,” explained Peter.

“One of his friends runs a fencing business and wholeheartedly recommended it. We were also in the process of taking on a major stock fencing contract so it made sense to look into it.

“I decided to go for it and I’ve been delighted with the results. We use it all the time and it’s a very well-built piece of kit,” added Peter who also operates a tracked Protech postknocker.

One rarely mentioned advantage of the Profencer for Peter was the ease with which he could roll back existing stock fencing making disposal more efficient and allowing for potential reuse.

He went on: “I could see the potential for that straight away. We often rewind perfectly good, reusable agricultural fencing and it made that process so much easier as well as, of course, drastically reducing the time and hassle to complete new installations. There’s also a range of modifications and attachments available which we are currently looking into.

“It just makes our job so much easier!” he concluded.
