SEASONAL GREETING 2026 WITH OPTIMISM
The world was a very di!erent place when Stuart Pitfield took a leap to start his own business.
That was back in 2021 in the midst of the Covid chaos but, since then, Farnworth-based Seasonal Fencing has gone from strength to strength as Stuart explained:
“Seasonal Fencing was established following several years of hands-on experience in the fencing and construction sector.
“Before starting the business, I worked within the construction and fencing industry, gaining practical experience across domestic, commercial, and site-based projects. That background gave me a solid understanding of installation standards, materials, and client expectations,” added Stuart.
Seasonal Fencing specialises in the supply, manufacture and installation of fencing and gates. This includes bespoke timber gates, side gates, fencing installations, repairs, and associated carpentry work.
“Our typical client ranges from a homeowner looking for quality, made-to-measure gates or fencing, through to landlords, property managers, and small commercial clients who value reliability, clear communication, and a professional finish.
Stuart went on “Last year was a strong year that focused on refining systems, improving product quality and building a solid local reputation.
“For 2026, the aim is to continue growing the bespoke side of the business, expand repeat and referral work and further develop our offering.
“The business is owner-led, working alongside a network of trusted subcontractors when required for larger or specialist projects.
“We mainly cover the North West from our base near Bolton, with a strong focus on Greater Manchester and surrounding areas, while also supplying made-to-order products nationwide.
“We work with a mix of established national fencing suppliers and trusted local timber merchants to ensure consistent quality and availability of materials.
“Some of our most challenging projects involve bespoke gates or fencing on restricted-access sites, where precise planning, problem-solving, and coordination are essential to achieve the right result,” he added.
Most of Seasonal’s work comes through word of mouth, repeat customers, and online platforms and they actively use social media, online marketplaces, and their own website to showcase completed projects and bespoke work.
“Outside of work, family time is very important to me but I also enjoy keeping active and continuing to develop the business.
“We focus on quality over volume, with an emphasis on well-made products, honest service and long-term customer relationships and it’s a proven formula that keeps delivering results,” concluded Stuart.
