STIHL STRATEGY FOCUSES ON BATTERIES
Chainsaw and outdoor power equipment brand Stihl is continuing to invest in its battery strategy.
To support the company’s position as a leading consumer brand in the premium battery tool segment, Stihl is announcing a new electric and battery retailer in Great Britain, in addition to partnerships with independent approved dealers.
Commencing in July, Stihl’s electric and battery-powered tools, along with a selected range of accessories, will be sold by omnichannel retailer Screwfix. The Stihl battery and electric range will be available in-store, online, and on the Screwfix app for click & collect from over 880 Screwfix stores across England, Scotland, and Wales. Additionally, Screwfix will feature a Stihl display system and offer a handover service at its Lysander Road store in Yeovil.
Warranty support and repair services will be provided through Screwfix’s fast and reliable repair service. Customer advice and support will also be available via the company’s contact centre.
“We know from our market data that a high proportion of prospective customers for battery tools are already shopping online, and many of their home and garden project purchases are made at Screwfix,” said Kay Green, Managing Director of Stihl GB.
“This new relationship with Screwfix represents an opportunity for Stihl to grow its consumer battery footprint while further increasing our brand exposure. It offers a complementary new dimension to the business we have built with our Approved Dealer network over the last five decades.”
Matt Compton, Screwfix Commercial Director, added:
“We’re delighted to announce this new partnership with Stihl, which welcomes another leading brand to the Screwfix family. Our customers demand high-quality products, and with this new range of electric and battery tools and accessories, we’re going even further to provide them with the tools they need to get their jobs done quickly, affordably, and right the first time.”
