The team at CDI are working hard to keep pace with a full order book following a very busy summer. Having settled in well at their new purpose built facility in Chipping Norton, eyes are firmly focused on looking ahead and seeing where else they can improve their capabilities. The workshop will soon be in receipt of two brand new forklifts, to add to the recent newly installed forge and re-vamped blacksmithing area. A new delivery vehicle and upgrades for the fitting teams’ equipment have also been approved. “We must constantly look to improve, in all areas of the business” says Hughie Powell, company MD “as the market becomes more competitive, we must do all we can to continue to offer quality and value to our customers”

This year, we once again showcased our work at the prestigious Game Fair at Ragley Hall, one of the largest and most celebrated rural events in the UK. Our stand – one of the largest we’ve assembled – was a resounding success, with visitors praising the quality and design of our bespoke metalworks. A bespoke commissioned 14 metre Hereford Bridge was the main focus of the stand, and the bridge was later installed at a newly renovated period property in rural Essex. “It was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow professionals and customers alike, showcasing not just our ironwork, but our dedication to craftsmanship and service”. Says Contracts Manager Pete Boulton “The positive feedback we received reinforces our commitment to being at the forefront of the estate fencing industry and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!”

At Cotswold Decorative Ironworkers, we’re proud to be working on some of the largest and most exciting estate fencing projects to date. Currently, we have substantial jobs underway in East Sussex, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire, where we are installing bespoke fencing and gates that perfectly complement the grand estates and private properties in these regions. Our reputation for quality craftsmanship continues to grow, and as a result, we’ve recently completed projects for four new home builders and significantly increased the volume of fencing and gates being shipped to the Republic of Ireland. Moreover, we’re thrilled to say that we’ve recently expanded our customer base in France and Belgium, bringing our expert ironwork to a wider international audience. These ongoing projects reflect our commitment to further scaling our business while maintaining the personal touch and quality that our customers have come to expect.

The last couple of months have also seen an increase in the number of sales of CDI’s signature Cast Iron Pillars and Entrance Gate. The much-copied design has always been a strong seller, even against the increasing prevalence of cheaper imitations, and the recent orders are testament to our belief that true quality is worth the extra time and effort in production.
