AFI MEMBERS GAIN TRUSTMARK APPROVAL AS TRUSTED FENCING CONTRACTORS

The Association of Fencing Industries (AFI) announces a landmark partnership with TrustMark, the only UK Government-Endorsed Quality Scheme for work carried out in and around the home. The first in the fencing industry, the AFI has achieved Scheme Provider status for TrustMark enabling all AFI members to enhance the credentials of their membership, as well as demonstrate their commitment to quality, professionalism and high standards. To become a recognised TrustMark Scheme Provider, the AFI underwent a thorough assessment of all its processes for vetting and inspecting contractors as well as its customer service policies, compliance audits, quality management and complaint handling procedures. Being an AFI TrustMark Registered Business isn’t just about a logo; it signifies that they are committed to and will maintain the required standards of technical competence, trading practices and customer service. It also highlights their commitment to excellence, raising their profile in the industry. To be an AFI TrustMark approved contractor means that the business is independently audited, has access to an independent adjudication process if required, and can offer works backed by financial institutions for loans, if appropriate. There are also a wide range of additional benefits available to TrustMark Registered Businesses, ranging from a Business Portal to promote their business and manage customer communications, to exclusive offers and discounts to save money and help run their business more efficiently. Pete Clark, CEO of the AFI, commented: “After several years of membership amendments and enhancing the membership criteria, we are now in a position to deliver for all sectors in fencing—not just construction, highways, and security, but all fencing contractors. This significant achievement highlights the competency and reliability of our members and they have proved they are top professionals in the sector. This will help to drive our membership to have total fencing representation and authority to enhance our campaigns for all in fencing, addressing the issues we face as an industry.” Simon Ayers MBE, CEO of TrustMark, added: “We are pleased to recognise the AFI as a TrustMark Scheme Provider. This collaboration will help to elevate industry standards, ensuring high-quality work and greater protection for homeowners. By upholding excellence in customer service, high standards, and continuous improvement, AFI TrustMark Registered Businesses can now offer their customers the confidence that they are hiring a skilled fencing professional with the right financial safeguards in place. We are looking forward to working with the AFI to promote its installers to homeowners throughout the UK.” For the first time, the AFI’s message is clear: membership is not merely a cost but a valuable badge of honour demonstrating their superior quality and credibility. An AFI TrustMark Registered Business gives their customers the confidence and peace of mind that they are choosing the right contractor to do the work. So, when consumers choose a TrustMark Registered Business, they get the highest level of assurance and protection available. It offers more value than other existing warranty schemes and confidence badges because it is backed by a verified framework representing the skills of fencing contractors. TrustMark license and work with its network of 40 Scheme Providers, including the AFI, who commit to meeting the operating requirements of its Quality Scheme. It is not something companies can purchase directly. This distinction highlights the AFI’s dedication to backing the fencing industry and proves to consumers that AFI TrustMark Registered Businesses are the ones that can be trusted for all fencing needs. The AFI is committed to continuing its efforts to raise the bar for fencing contractors providing them with the support and recognition they deserve. This partnership with TrustMark is a testament to the AFI’s dedication to excellence and its ongoing mission to promote the highest standards within the fencing industry.
