FENCEX PROVIDES THE PERFECT LAUNCHPAD FOR FORTIPOST

It has been just over a month since FortiPost had it’s full launch at a rejuvenated Fencex, the perfect platform to introduce a product which re-defines long-life performance for professional contractors and installers of Agricultural fencing.

Fortipost delivers on four key objectives :
• FortiPost is a Safer Creosoted Timber alternative to handle and install.
• FortiPost has a “No Quibble” traceable, 40 Year replacement warranty.
• FortiPost is a cost effective alternative to Creosoted and other substitute materials.
• Fortipost is “In Stock” readily available for when the customer needs it most.

FortiPost was developed as a direct solution to feedback from contractors, installers, farmers and landowners, a product that moves the dial on performance, whilst maintaining all of the natural benefits, versatility and ease of installation that timber fencing offers.

Raw material plays a significant role in a strong foundation for delivering a product fit for 40 years. The timbers for FortiPost are only ever slow grown, selected Pine poles, which target specific criteria in relation to sapwood content, over and above the more standardised small roundwood used for fencing stake manufacture.

“A Slice of Fact”
We know that the most important part of ensuring absolute performance in ground contact timber is determined by the correct selection of species in line with the targeted lifespan required, along with the conditioning of those timbers prior to the all-important pressure treatment process.

At Fencex, M&M took transparency to a new level, offering visitors the chance to select their own Warrantied post (Agricised, Deerguard or FortiPost) and instruct the team where to cross cut the section. This offered a unique opportunity to discuss expectations, the relationships between heartwood and sapwood and how species impacts penetration depth. Visitors got to see first hand the significant depth of penetration achieved in FortiPost consistently, through all the random samples that were cut.

Those that had their own a “Slice of Fact” were then entered into our Fencex prize draw, where the winner would take away a Ridgeline Smock and pair of Redback boots. Congratulations to the winner of the draw Ross from Coventry for Fencing.

Peace Of Mind
What underpins FortiPost is it’s simple “No quibble” traceable warranty. There is no “Expected service life” tag. This is a commitment to replace any product which fails specifically due to fungal rot and decay at any point between 0–40 years. The simple critical stipulation, is that the end consumer must register and therefore activate their warranty directly through the M&M Timber Website.

This is a simple step by step process that takes a matter of minutes to complete. For the contractor the warranty offers a clean proposition that keeps the product warranty firmly with the manufacturer. In the unlikely event of a claim the consumer contacts M&M Timber directly. Keeping clear lines of difference between install, workmanship and product performance.

Fortified Quality Assurance
Every piece of FortiPost timber is conditioned and treated here in the UK at our state of the art pressure treatment facility in Worcestershire. This gives us absolute control in each step within this process, from Kiln Drying to achieve correct moisture targets, through to the specifically formulated FortiPost treatment cycle itself.

Each timber has End tag recognition, driven in to the top of the post which gives date of manufacture verification which in turn supports traceability for the warranty. Each Post is also individually labelled to make product identification effortless.
