 AS THE COMPOSITE DECKING MARKET GROWS, INSTALLERS MUST SET THEMSELVES APART TO GROW THEIR BUSINESS

With its impressive durability and a choice of beautiful colours, more landscapers are recognising the value of composite decking across a range of project types.

And thanks to its eco credentials and being both long lasting and low maintenance, more homeowners and commercial business owners are investing in composite decking such as Trex which means that the demand for highly skilled installers is on the up. As potential customers face an increasing choice of installers for their Trex deck, they’ll be looking closely at what sets them apart.

Helping to advocate specialist installers, Trex launched the TrexPRO scheme in 2018 which sees members receive a number of benefits, including a profile page on Trex’s website. This space allows installers to showcase their projects, contact details and customer reviews, which can help direct individuals looking for a skilled composite decking installer to their business.

As Arbor Forest Products is the UK’s supplier of Trex, we support the TrexPRO installer scheme in a number of ways; from identifying potential members and supporting them through the application process, right through to advice on how to make the most of the scheme once they’ve joined.

TrexPRO installers are expected to be highly skilled in Trex decking specifically – with their work being assessed by a Trex representative before being able to join the scheme – which is why we host invaluable events across the country, run by a member of the company’s team. Arbor Forest Products does however recognise that in the peak period an installer’s time is precious which is why we also offer instructional videos and brochures as resources to use when it suits them.

Another key benefit of the TrexPRO scheme is that members get marketing support for their business: they are provided with Trex marketing materials allowing them to showcase the benefits of thecomposite decking brand directly to customers. Members of the scheme are also invited to create guest blogs for the Arbordeck website, and we regularly share their work on our social media channels to help to boost their business profile.
