PROFENCER PROVES PERFECT FOR JLC FARMING & FENCING
It’s just over a year since Jim Proudley of South Yorkshire firm JLC Farming and Fencing took the plunge and ordered a Profencer and it’s a proved a perfect fit!
“We were doing it the old-fashioned way with boards and chains for years and putting up the netting was always part of the job that you least looked forward to. It was a real bind until I got the Profencer,” explained Jim who works alongside daughter Lexie and son Charlie, hence the name JLC.
Always busy with customers, including a number of large estates, across North and South Yorkshire, Jim and his offspring carry out agricultural and equestrian fencing as well as the occasional security contract. “I’d heard about Profencer and got hold of a demo version from Allan. We kept that for a few months before getting the double headed version and it’s simply transformed how we work and undoubtedly doubled our productivity. “The machine is laid out well and the build quality is really good even though the weight has been kept to a sensible level. It means that we can use 500 m rolls of stock netting with ease. “We can leave it to 3-4 pm and still put 300-400m up in a really short period. I don’t quite know where we’d be without it,” added Jim who started focusing predominantly on fencing around six years ago from his base at Braithwell near Rotherham. “We’ve yet to have any issues with it but I can rest assured that Chris will always be on hand to help us and isn’t based too far away in Derbyshire. “We have a lot of work on and a big part of that is down to the Profencer!” he concluded.
