BRITISH OPEN FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND SPEED FENCING COMPETITION SET TO IGNITE APF SHOW 2026
GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY FOR APF SHOW
APF 2026, celebrating its golden anniversary, could prove to be the biggest event yet with over 200 exhibitors having already booked.
A spokesperson commented: “APF 2026 will celebrate 50 years of the APF Demo since the very first show in 1976 at Longleat Estate. It will take place from the 24th to 26th September 2026 at Ragley Estate, Warwickshire. The show is renowned for being the place to see machinery and equipment in action and exhibitors know they have a very targeted and knowledgeable trade audience.
“The Fencing Village has become a key part of the event and is effectively a show within a show. Many of the big names in fencing have already booked including McVeigh Parker, Tornado Wire, Bryce Suma, StowAG, Sacrofast, Robinia, Association Of Fencing Industries, Easy Petrol Post Driver and M & M Timber.
“We are delighted to announce that M & M Timber will be sponsors of the Fencing Village. You will be able to see their full range of products on display and their staff will be on hand to answer all your queries.
“McVeigh Parker are again sponsoring the fencing arena and are hosting the very popular British Speed Fencing and the Traditional Fencing championships on the Thursday and Friday of the show. Both competitions were heavily over-subscribed in 2024.
“Both competitions have been expanded to be able to accommodate 15 teams of two. Booking forms will be available on the website in the Events & Competitions section shortly.
“In addition to the Fencing Village visitors will be able to see 300 exhibitors and over £90 million pounds of working machinery on show on the 2km demonstration circuit.
“In addition to the fencing competitions APF 2026 will also host the World 25m pole climbing championships, sponsored by Husqvarna, the European chainsaw carving championships, sponsored by A W Jenkinson, the UK Forwarder driving championships, the UK Speed climbing competition, horse logging and axe throwing.
“For the first time we will have a tractor and winch competition to test the skills and safety of winch operators
“We have opened for bookings for both exhibitors and visitors. Exhibitor booking forms are available on our website. Demand is expected to be high and the Demo circuit sold out early last time.
“Stand costs start at just £450. Advance visitor tickets are just £25 and represent a £5 saving on the gate price.”
