INTRODUCING THE PERRETT POST PLATE MK7
The latest version of the Perrett Post Plate was launched recently at FenceX, the fencing industry’s leading trade exhibition.
Perrett Fencing Ltd was founded in 1996 by Tony Perrett, who went on to develop the original Perrett Post Plate — a product that has since become a trusted tool for contractors across the UK. Today, the business is managed by Tony’s son, Tim.
“We introduced the Perrett Post Plate Mk7 at Fencex,” explained Tim “with an improved rounded design that makes the plate even stronger and also allows integration of the latching loops into the body of the plate.”
According to Tim, the Mk7 is the result of extensive user feedback combined with the company’s own handson experience on the fencing line. “It’s become the ultimate upgrade for your post knocker,” he added.
The original Perrett Post Plate launched in February 2021 after six years of inhouse development. Its patented design reduces posttop damage while securely holding all types of post underneath.
Indeed one of their Dutch customers confirmed “Production up, damage down”.
“Last year we saw interest and sales really take off with orders flowing in from across the UK as well as northern Europe and Ireland. Learning how to export was a challenge at first, but we’ve got to grips with it now.”
The plates have already proven their reliability in the field, supported by social media videos and posts, and with word spreading quickly among fencers. Tim says the product now sells itself as the company prepares to launch a new website later this year to support continued growth.
“Once you get one, you know why it’s worth it!” concluded Tim.
