Showtime for Quickfencer!
Quickfencer has hit the road in recent weeks with co-founders John Brewer and Steve Rawcliffe showcasing some new additions to their range at the Yorkshire Show, Royal Welsh Show and the NSA sheep event in Malvern.
They will also be exhibiting at the APF Show at the end of September.
Founded in 2004, Quickfencer operates out of Moorgate Farm in Dinckley near Blackburn and has sold almost 5000 machines to date around the world.
A specialist agricultural machine designed to safely handle, unroll, and tension wire fencing, Quickfencer makes the installation of stock, deer and horse fencing faster and physically easier and can be mounted to tractors, telehandlers and digger blades.
“I don’t think we’ll hit the 5000 milestone this year,” explained John “but hopefully, if the market picks up, we’ll get there in the next year or two.
“The message we’re getting from everyone is that trading conditions are tough right now and the uncertainty means folks are often loathe to part with their money especially when it comes to machinery like ours.
“That said, we’ve always been competitive on price and the shows we’ve attended this year have given us some precious face-to-face time with existing and potential customers with a few new enquiries coming our way,” added John who was keen to highlight three recent new arrivals in the Quickfencer ‘family’.
“We have introduced the Quickfencer Farmer 80 that is capable of holding two 500m rolls of netting. With hydraulic clamping it means you don’t need to manually lift the clamp unlike our competitors.
“Optional extras for Farmer 80 include a single barbed wire spider attachment, a loader or telehandler adapter, hydraulic hoist and re-rolling machine.
“Another new addition is the Multi 125 model that can hold two 500m rolls of netting, two 200m rolls of horse netting or four barbed wire spiders.
“The Multi 125 does not require lifting on or off and doesn’t use any pins. It comes with a 76cm side shift and tilt mechanism.
“There’s also the opportunity to add a loader / telehandler adapter, hydraulic hoist, re-rolling machine, up to four barbed wire spider attachments or up to six plain wire attachments.
“The Multi 2000 is our ultimate machine that can hold two 500m rolls of netting, two 200m rolls of horse netting or two 500m rolls of deer netting.
“It features a 76cm side shift and a tilt and hydraulic top link as standard and will erect wire from two metres down,” added John.
The engineering skills of John and Steve mean that Quickfencer will continue to adapt and improve its suite of fencing machinery and that can only be good news for fencing contractors everywhere!
