 APF 2026 – BRITISH OPEN FENCING COMPETITIONS OPEN FOR BOOKINGS

APF 2026 and McVeigh Parker have announced that applications are now open for anyone wanting to enter the British Open Fencing or British Open Speed Fencing Competitions.

Both events are the most prestigious and high energy competitions in the UK and will attract the best fencers in Britain. Both events will take place during APF 2026 at Ragley Estate, Warwickshire on the 24th-26th September. The Speed fencing will take place on Thursday 24th and the British Open on Friday 25th.

Great prizes are on offer with the winners of the British Open getting £1000 cash and two unique Xfence trophies, 2nd place get £500 and 3rd £250. For the speed fencing the winners will get £500 cash, two unique Gripple trophies and a Gripple goody bag.

The competition is open to teams of two people. With only 15 spaces in either event competition is going to be fierce. With entries expected to exceed available spaces there will be a draw on 24th July to choose the successful 15 teams for each event.

The competition arena is at the heart of the Fencing Village a show-within-a-show, sponsored by M & M Timber the Village will feature all the major manufacturers of fencing machinery, equipment and materials. There will be working demonstrations and the chance to catch up on all the latest kit and techniques from industry experts.

The Fencing Village is just one part of the huge APF 2026 show, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. 300 exhibitors and 25000 visitors are expected at the show which is the largest event in the UK for the forestry, Arb and fencing industries. £90 million of machinery will be on show along with some world class competitions and events.
