ALL CHANGE AT THE TOP FOR PROFENCER

It’s all change at Profencer!

Fencing industry veteran Allan Froggatt has recently stepped down from the Derbyshire firm, with Chris Bettney taking over the reins.

Chris, who’s spent 14 years looking after the engineering at Profencer, is excited by the challenge and is hoping to maintain the momentum of his predecessor.

“They are big boots to fill,” explained Chris, *”as Allan is widely respected in fencing circles with decades of knowledge and a strong affinity with contractors up and down the country.

“His reputation has helped to establish the Profencer machines as an example of great practical engineering that has made an impact across the world.

“They say imitation is the highest form of flattery with many copying an ever-evolving machine that has helped fencers for many years.

“It’s now up to me to take the business forward but it’ll be business as usual as I get my head around the new role.

“I’m keen to get out and about and talk to our existing loyal customers and friends, however, we have plans to add more functions to the Profencer, so my time in the workshop will be key in this respect.

“I also want us to have more of a presence on social media and general marketing. I’ll be on a steep learning curve in the short term!”* added Chris, who also runs his own business in John Bank Engineering.

*”Engineering is in my blood. My grandfather was an engineer, playing a role in the technologies that delivered D-Day, and his influence has rubbed off on me.

“I did my first welding job at the age of 11!”* added Chris, who has been married for 34 years with a 17-year-old son, Sammy.

He’s worked with Allan for 14 years and reassures customers that, *”Not much will change other than a different face in charge. We still value our two-way dialogue with customers, which informs the changes and developments that we make.

“It’s a case of constant evolution as we bid to make the life of fencing contractors everywhere just that little bit easier.”*

Allan commented:
“I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all my customers over the past 14 years, many who have become friends. I can assure past and future customers that they will be in good hands with Chris.”

With countless contractors having sung the praises of Profencer within these pages over the years, it seems that these warm words will only continue!
