Arbor Forest Products has experienced a surge in demand for its Trex decking sample boxes this summer as homeowners looked to upgrade their gardens during lockdown.
With holidays delayed or cancelled, people looked to spend their money on home improvement instead, with requests for the sample boxes, which can be ordered through the Arbordeck website.
Similarly, demand for Arbor Forest Products’ Trex composite decking and Arbordeck softwood timber decking has been on the up, with the company currently working with its international partners in the US and Europe to secure additional stock for the rest of the summer.
Commenting on the surge in interest in decking, Arbor Forest Products’ Managing Director, Jason Ostler, said: “Home improvement has been a huge driver of sales this year, particularly where decking is concerned. We attribute this partly to the fact that people were spending more time at home and partly to the glorious weather we had in spring. People were wanting to use the money they had saved up for holidays on improving their own homes instead, and the requests for Trex sample packs just kept going up and up.
“In many ways, this summer was the ideal time to invest in a Trex deck – people had time to consider their options and plan carefully, and lots of them have chosen Trex as it’s a product that will stand the test of time without fading or staining, and will require very little maintenance in the future.”
The sample Trex boxes are designed to provide homeowners considering investing in a Trex composite deck with colour inspiration and a feel for the products. Potential customers can order two Trex samples, Trex decking clips and a brochure as part of the pack, which costs just £5.
The samples can be drawn from any of the three Trex decking product ranges – Trex Transcend, Trex Enhance Naturals, or Trex Enhance Basics – and are a worthwhile guide to what’s available in terms of colour and style. The full Trex collection includes 11 different colour options, from contemporary grey tones like Island Mist, to inspired-by-nature shades like Saddle.
