A Longstanding Partnership with Bryce Suma Post Drivers
Alan Miller Snr, one of the founding partners of Alter, shared his thoughts on the company’s 21-year relationship with Bryce Suma Post Drivers:
“It has been 21 years since I was first introduced to Jock Bryce when Alter purchased our second tractor-mounted post driver. Since that day, we have continued to rely on their expertise, which has been instrumental in the success of our business. Bryce’s build quality is second to none, and the conversion work they did on our latest machine is spot on.”
Jock Bryce also commented on their collaboration:
“About five years ago, Alan sent us a used Morooka tracked dumper and a used slew ring that he had sourced, and from that, we completed the conversion work, resulting in a larger version of our mainstream 180 Pro Tracked Machine. Alter’s team carried out the dual-drive conversion using cable controls.”
Recently, Alter supplied a brand-new 120-horsepower Takeuchi machine for a new project, though modifications were needed. Jock explains:
“The slew turret was in the wrong position and of the wrong type, so we replaced it with a larger version of the turret fitted to our 180 Pro machine, with its inherent benefits. We also added hydraulic dual controls, the same as our 180 Pro, plus security cameras. There was a fair bit of head-scratching to ensure reliability and longevity met our standards.”
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on their long partnership, Jock added:
“After 21 years, we were honored to be asked again by Alan and his team to deliver what they needed. Alter Landscapes Ltd keeps pushing forward with their growing biomass business and their builders’ merchants branch, Alter Supplies, and we wish them continued success.”
