ANOTHER STRONG YEAR OF GROWTH FOR EQUESTRIAN FENCING & TIMBER LTD
Another strong year of growth for Equestrian Fencing & Timber Ltd
Continued investment in new product lines and expansion of onsite manufacturing capabilities has led to another record-breaking year.
Equestrian Fencing and Timber continues to grow their product range, as well as expanding their manufacturing capacity. Since their last feature in Fencing News, they have gone from strength to strength and their yard now stocks Domestic Fencing, Agricultural Fencing (UC4& Creosote), C24 Building Timber, Landscaping Timber and a huge selection of Green Oak.
They also stock a wide range of accessories, tools and timber treatments making them the one-stop shop for any fencing or landscaping project.
Twenty-four years of trading combined with expert timber knowledge means Equestrian Fencing can offer excellent customer service and advice to their wide variety of customer types.
Continued investment in staff and software allows them to directly import huge quantities of timber from across Europe. They receive weekly deliveries of Green Oak timber from France, and C24 treated timber from Sweden and the Baltics, allowing them to pass the bulk purchasing discount on to their customers. The end result is a timber yard full of the highest quality timber at highly competitive prices.
“We consider it vitally important to continue investing in the range of products & manufacturing capabilities we have to offer our customers. When we first started trading, we were simply dealing with Agricultural fencing, but now we’ve expanded into domestic fencing, building timber, sheet materials and landscaping timber. This varied offering means that we are serving a wide range of customers from supplying panels in bulk to merchants, down to a DIY customer
needing a single sheet of OSB3.” – Dan Dennis, Managing Director
Investing in their own on-site workshops has allowed Equestrian Fencing and Timber to expand and perfect the production of their own bespoke timber products. Additional gate-making workshops have been added to provide even faster turnaround times for bespoke pedestrian and driveway gates. They continue to manufacture their own fencing panels, which means they can reliably meet expectations during periods of unsettled weather and high demand. This in-house production chain has been hugely beneficial to their customers, who have been able to secure more jobs and offer installation far faster than some of their competitors.
Further investment has also gone into their online presence, with their website now offering over 2000 unique products. Their customers can now easily cost jobs using their website, with online trade accounts offering discounts and credit lines to many. They also offer both a click-and-collect service from their yard, or delivery via their own trucks to many parts of the country at competitive rates. This allows their trade customers to arrange delivery to a customer’s address, meaning they can focus less on logistics, and more on the job at hand.
After being forced to close their yard to the public during the pandemic, Equestrian Fencing & Timber took the opportunity to reorganise and better present the several hundred tonnes of product on offer. On re-opening to the public, they found their yard and shop far more accessible and easier for their staff to quickly pick orders as they come in.
Their team remains a key part of the local and regional fencing and landscaping industry, offering specialist help and advice. The combined experience of their staff, competitive pricing on a huge range of products and in-house manufacturing capabilities make Equestrian Fencing & Timber one of the leading Timber Merchants on the South Coast.
