ENTRIES OPEN FOR THE 2026 UK FENCING AWARDS

The Association of Fencing Industries (AFI) has officially opened entries for the 2026 UK Fencing Awards, inviting contractors, suppliers and professionals from across the sector to showcase their work and achievements.

As the UK’s only trade association representing professional fencing contractors, the AFI delivers the Awards annually to recognise excellence across the industry. The Awards celebrate not only technical skill and project delivery, but also innovation, professionalism and the people who drive the sector forward.

The 2026 awards ceremony will take place on 12th November at Old Trafford, with Sir Geoff Hurst confirmed as guest speaker, adding to what promises to be a standout event in the industry calendar.

The Awards feature a comprehensive range of categories reflecting the breadth of the sector, including agricultural and equine fencing, domestic fencing, industrial projects, security installations and work across highways and rail infrastructure. Categories also recognise specialist areas such as gates and barriers, sports and education, and temporary fencing and hoarding.

Alongside contractor categories, the Awards highlight wider industry contribution through honours such as Supplier of the Year, Project of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.

New for 2026 is the introduction of the Women in Fencing Award, sponsored by First Fence, recognising the growing contribution and impact of women across the sector and supporting greater visibility and inclusion within the industry.

The awards are open to the whole industry, with entry forms now available via the AFI website at www.afiorg.uk, and companies are encouraged to submit their strongest projects and initiatives.

The AFI is also inviting nominations for its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognises individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on the fencing industry. Nominations for this category should be submitted via email to info@theafi.co.uk.

Pete Clark, Chief Executive Officer for the AFI, commented:

“The UK Fencing Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the high standards, expertise and commitment that exist across our industry. We are particularly pleased to introduce the Women in Fencing category for 2026, reflecting the evolving and diverse nature of the sector.”

The Awards are supported by a strong group of industry sponsors, each aligned to key categories across the sector. These include Tornado (Agricultural & Equine), Birkdale (Domestic), IAE (Industrial), Topan Group (Temporary Fencing & Hoarding), DHF (Gates & Barriers), Alexandra Security (Sports & Education), Barkers Fencing (Security), Lawsons Group (Highways & Railways), Scanpole (Supplier of the Year), Siddall & Hilton (Apprentice of the Year) and Zaun (Project of the Year).
