 GOING PLACES WITH LINWOOD TIMBER

Dorset-based Linwood Timber is going places…and it’s not just their customers on the south coast that are discovering the benefits of dealing with this ambitious company.

Founded in 2012 in the village of Linwood in the New Forest, the business really took off in 2014 when it was bought out by the Sweet family.

Now headed by General Manager Adam Moran, Linwood Timber recently opened its fencing timber & firewood merchant store 10 miles south at Hurn near Christchurch in East Dorset serving local customers in Dorset and Hampshire and it’s been onward and upward ever since.

Adam took up the story: “We’ve grown a lot over the past five or six years and have a real focus on milling British grown timber and selling a wide range of standard and bespoke timber & fencing solutions.

“We can provide a wide variety of panel systems and fully customised fencing solutions for fencing companies, high-end clients and other merchant businesses. Our extensive capability is supported by advanced milling technologies, top-quality machinery and a team of skilled millers and machinists.

“Whatever you can think of when it comes to timber, we can do it and turn our hand to a wide variety of complex briefs and challenges on a daily basis.

“We are the only sawmill & timber merchant in Dorset to offer Grown in Britain (GiB) Chain of Custody certification that tracks timber from the forest to the end user. All of our milled timber is locally sourced and we operate our sawmill nearby to our merchant store.

“We have an ingrained culture of excellence that I believe helps us to stand out in the marketplace. Our trade customers, encompassing everything from fencing contractors to large scale housing developments, recognise that commitment and it’s been the bedrock for our progress.

“We are a bit more than your average sawmill and fencing stockist with the GiB certification being a key focus for our team.

“We are very passionate about what we do with a loyal customer base across the south of England and we are seeing a growing demand for our sawn timber right across the UK,” concluded Adam.

Linwood Timber is clearly a name to watch in the timber and fencing industry and it’s going in the right direction!
