HALES SAWMILLS OPENS NEW BRANCH IN SHREWSBURY

Fencing, landscaping and DIY specialist Hales Sawmills, based in Market Drayton, has recently opened a second branch in Shrewsbury.

The site on Battlefield Enterprise Park in Vanguard Way, Shrewsbury, will help to meet the demand from the company’s growing customer base and support the future growth plans.

Hales’ two branches will work closely together to allow access to the full range of stock across their business. With a combined fleet of nine lorries, they can provide directdelivery to the door or project site or provide click and collect from each branch.

Stocking thousands of products, including fencing, gates, paving, aggregates, pergolas, sleepers, sawn timber, C16 timber, ironmongery, decorating products, hand, sheds and summerhouses, Hales aims to become the first port of call for all landscapers, contractors and home DIY-ers.

Hales also has a dedicated department for the trade sector and by setting up a trade account with Hales, you will gain exclusive access to trade pricing and bespoke quotes.

A spokesperson commented: “We are thrilled to be opening our second branch and are excited to increase our presence geographically. As well as bringing new jobs to the local community, it will provide the people of Shrewsbury and the surrounding area with a one stop shop for all their DIY and trade requirements.”

The family-run business, now into its third generation, has been running since 1982. Traditionally a sawmill which specialised in bespoke gates and acoustic panels, Hales Sawmills has evolved over time and is now considered one of Shropshire’s largest fencing, landscaping and DIY specialists.

It offers high quality and sustainably sourced timber and garden supplies to trade and DIY customers and is certified by the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council), with the majority of timber coming from sustainably managed UK and Ireland forests. The new site in Shrewsbury will employ six local staff , in keeping with the company’s culture of supporting the local community.
