HAMPTON’S CHAIN LINK AND HAMPTON NET SECURITY SOLUTIONS
HAMPTON’S CHAIN LINK AND HAMPTON NET SECURITY SOLUTIONS
AS ONE OF THE UK’S PREMIER STEEL WIRE FENCING MANUFACTURERS, HAMPTON STEEL PRODUCES A WIDE RANGE FOR THEIR UK AND OVERSEAS CUSTOMER NETWORK; INCLUDING THOSE WHERE SECURITY AND ACCESS CONTROL IS A PRIORITY.
Hampton’s are well versed in the provision of such fencing systems where performance and durability are essential. Hampton’s top selling products for such sectors include their high quality coated chain link fencing with either knuckle or barbed tops, barbed wires, line wires and their Hampton NET™ fixed knot fencing. This exceptional fence with superior strength features wires that are locked tight by a knotted joint. Fence heights can be up to 2.6m; an optional hinged lower or upper section is a simple addition to the configuration, helping to inhibit access by burrowing or scaling. Unlike many fencing systems every line wire has to be cut to gain entry and the advanced technology of the design makes the high tensile Hampton NET™ almost self-supporting thus requiring fewer posts and making it easier to erect and maintain.
In addition to Hampton NET™, Hampton Steel is a major producer of galvanised and pvc coated chain link fencing. Wire diameters range from 2.5 mm to 3.55 mm for galvanised, including 3.15mm high tensile, and up to 4.75mm for plastic coated. It’s no surprise that Hampton’s chain link provides the perimeter fencing for many tennis courts, football and hockey pitches, motorways, power stations, zoo enclosures, airports and military installations across the UK. The quality of the wire and resilience of the mesh provide for an easy to use and cost effective fencing system requiring very little maintenance. “Product continuity is fundamental to our business. Our customers want to be sure that should they need to reorder, regardless of what that product is, it is reliably the same in terms of quality of build, texture and finish. We avoid such variations by extruding all the plastic for both our chain link and the accompanying line wires in-house. That way we have total ownership of product and full traceability.” Said Mark Johnson, Managing Director of Hampton Steel Ltd.
For higher security Hampton’s can include barbed tops and bottoms to both their PVC coated and galvanised chain link. This option has given some customers the opportunity not to require supplementary lines of barbed wire whilst still deterring scaling or burrowing intruders. Hampton’s stamp of quality and reliability extends across all of their product range.
“In our experience the added security and the cost effective solution provided by the barbed chain link has proved the perfect product for certain applications. We have various retained contracts where the strength, durability and increased safety offered by our chain link is both expected and reassuringly fulfilled. Ideal applications are roadsides or airports….. sites where scaling or burrowing intruders need to be deterred, quite often, for their own safety.” Said Peter Matten, Sales Director of Hampton Steel Ltd.
Sold in standard roll lengths of either 12.5 metres or 25 metres all Hampton’s chain link fencing is manufactured to BS EN 10223-6, wire produced to BS 4102 and galvanised to BS EN 10224-2. PVC coating is typically green or black but our sales team are always pleased to discuss specific requirements. The full Hampton Steel product range can be viewed at www.hamptonsteel.co.uk
