“The ground conditions were some of the most testing. The lakes are situated in an old quarry and the rocky ground was almost impenetrable; combine that with some torrential downpours and we were up against it. However, once through the initial rocks the 3” metal strainer posts stood fast and provided excellent stability for the angle struts.
