HARPER CHALICE REBRANDS AS HIRSCH UK

Harper Chalice has been a trusted name in perimeter intrusion detection for over two decades, delivering high-security solutions to protect critical infrastructure, commercial properties, and high-risk sites across the UK.

Founded with a commitment to innovation and reliability, the company has developed a reputation for cutting-edge perimeter security systems, including microphonic fence detection (PIDS), Electric Fences, secure hatch protection and other detection solutions.

Its flexible approach enables them to assist clients with bespoke or specialist designs that meet and exceed specific requirements. All its systems operate on an in-house communications network, allowing for seamless software integration of multiple security systems and technologies into the site’s security management system.

The company’s solutions have been deployed across numerous high-security, high-profile, and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) sites, including utilities, datacentres, nuclear facilities and government-specified projects.

“The Harper Chalice name has a long and well-respected history within the perimeter intrusion market here in the UK and since our acquisition by Vitaprotech back in 2023 we have taken huge strides to develop the business both here in the UK and overseas,” said Adam O’Reilly, Managing Director.

“We’re proud of our position as one of the UK’s leading Perimeter Intrusion Detection manufacturers but we don’t want to stop there which is why we’re delighted to announce that going forward we will be aligning the Harper Chalice name under fellow Vitaprotech company Hirsch’s name going forward.”

The rebrand will allow Harper Chalice to build on its position in the high security end of the UK market, making the existing Hirsch product range of high security Physical Access Control, Video and PSIM solutions available alongside the existing Harper Chalice lineup of National Protective Security Authority approved perimeter intrusion detection solutions.

Founded in 1981, Hirsch has established itself as the leading high-security access control solution for some of the world’s most demanding customers, and it already has numerous high-security sites around the UK and across Europe. In the US, it secures multiple U.S. federal government agencies and departments. Hirsch has become synonymous with government-grade security, and true to its technology roots, has played a key role in shaping high-security standards for the U.S. government.

Thibaut Galland, UK COO for Vitaprotech commented, “This evolution underscores our dedication to providing a complete portfolio of world-class high security solutions in the UK. We believe that this change will put us in a stronger position for the future, leveraging our combined strengths to deliver even greater value to our clients.”

Current Harper Chalice customers can expect the same level of support, reliability and commitment to delivering the highest standards of security and innovation under the new Hirsch name. By offering a comprehensive product portfolio and leveraging advanced technologies, it will continue to provide reliable, future-proof solutions for high-security sites.

“From an operational point of view, it’s very much business as usual.” Adam concludes. “Although the name is changing, things from a Harper Chalice perspective won’t be too different. As Hirsch UK, we will have access to complementary products in Access Control and Video which weren’t previously available, allowing customers to build their physical security solutions from a full spectrum of products designed for the high security market.”

As the company moves forward under its new identity, its dedication to protecting critical assets and ensuring the safety of its clients remains unwavering. This next chapter marks the beginning of an exciting journey, reinforcing its position as a trusted leader in perimeter security.
