HORSERAIL ON TRACK FOR A BUMPER 2023

Holding a series of ‘contractor days’ has certainly paid off for Ruth Todd, Marketing Manager with Horserail, a post and rail style fencing system targeted principally at the equestrian community.

“We’ve seen interest skyrocket over the past year or so,” explained Ruth “with our contractor days really paying dividends. The feedback is always positive.

“When they have a chance to get up close and personal with our range of products they invariably go away impressed and it’s not that long before they are on the phone,” added Ruth who is currently dealing with over a hundred different fencing and equestrian contractors across the UK.

“We’re seeing particularly high interest in places like the Cotswolds, the Home Counties and the East Midlands where there are strong communities of horse owners and stables.

“We also regularly send out our contractor packs to interested parties and would encourage any fencing business to get in touch if they are keen to know more,” added Ruth.

It’s not just the equestrian sector that’s showing an interest!

“We recently had a buffalo farm in the Scottish Borders near Kelsoget in touch and they have now installed Horserail fencing. It also looks smart and the buffaloes, like horses, learn very quickly to respect their electrified boundaries.“We are also seeing interest from sheep farms and other livestock,” she added.

With the cost of living crisis still very much on people’s minds, there’s more of a desire to purchase a product that offers longevity, value for money and aesthetic appeal according to Ruth.

“People see the benefits of investing in effective boundary fencing for the long term,” added Ruth “and Horserail is a perfect partner in that regard. It’s a great product with practical benefits that lasts the distance.

“There’s a growing awareness of our Hotcote wire range as well. It’s a high tensile wire that is coated in a highly conductive carbon compound and can deliver electric shock.

“It can be used as an entire fence or in conjunction with Horserail to create the exact look you desire. Installation hardware features a patented procedure for attaching, joining and tensioning the coated wire providing a clean, neat look while being safe for both horse and rider.

“There’s no stripping, crimping or notching needed. The end result is a properly installed fence with no exposed wires.”

The high tensile, 2.5mm galvanized wire is encased in high quality medium density polyethylene to create a safe 10mm thick highly-visible wire, electrified through strands. Each Hotcote wire has a breaking strain of 600 kilograms with four points of electrification carried through the carbon compound.

“It comes with a 20 year guarantee for added peace of mind,” added Ruth “and is available in black, brown and white.

“All told, 2023 is shaping up to be another excellent year for Horserail!” Ruth concluded.
