“Back then, those crosshead screws were developed to meet the needs of automated production lines. Their self-centering design made them the standard for machines. “Torx screws are all about higher torque transmission and enhanced ergonomics. A Torx bit is able to provide higher rotational force due to the increased angle of contact, which means faster and more reliable screw embedment.

“And six points mean six points of contact, and a radial rather than axial force – which in plain-English means you get more effective fastening.”
